Villa or hotel?

I am planning to go to Orlando this year with my brother, but am not sure where to stay, either a hotel or a villa. I have found some well priced villas in the area which would probably end up being just as cheap as hotels and I could have my own pool which is an added bonus!

The main factor though is the location. I would like to have a villa but some aren't in a very central location unlike the hotels. The closest villas I can see are in the Indian Wells, Indian Ridge Oaks, Rolling Hills, Formosa Gardens and the Windsor Hills resorts. Would this be a good location for all of the parks compared to hotels in I-Drive and Lake Beuna Vista?

Villa or hotel?
Ive just booked to go to Florida in April, there will be 6 of us and we are staying in Kissimmee in Orlando in a 4 bedroom villa. There were loads available in Kissimmee which is dead close to all the attractions. I would say a villa is definately best, much more private and personal and like you said your own pool.

Try this website they seem to have loads.

Reply:As a long-time Florida resident who regularly makes trips to the Orlando area, I highly recommend Sheraton's Vistana resort. They rent 1- and 2-bedroom villas with full kitchens and really are an excellent value. The whole resort is gorgeous, and it's a stone's-throw from Disney (literally, you could be on Disney property in less than 5 minutes). I've stayed there repeatedly, and I've never been disappointed.
Reply:I have been to Florida in 03,04,and05 and in those three times I have stayed in a villa. If you have ten or more people staying in the house you will come out cheaper than staying at a hotel plus if you are flying you can get a group rate on just about any airline. The last villa that we rented for a two week stay cost 1,600 and it was real close to disney. The area is called Clearmont and the web site is called orlandodreamvacation.net if you do book this villa tell Carlos and Joy that the Norwood family recommend you. By the way he has the best rates than any one else.We are planning to go again. And if you need discount tickets to the parks go to the web site orlandosavers.com.By the way he has two different villas.
Reply:Hotel... you're on vacation.
Reply:Kissimee (not sure spelt right has villas and it's a bit nearer.) International drive is a very good location with all attractions to hand.

Marriot, where we stayed has good security in and around the grounds. (International Dr)

Wherever you stay, you'll have a ball!
Reply:Go to the VIlla. THe comforts of home and you can cook if you want which will help in saving some money.

Reply:If you decide on a villa you are gunna need to hire a car regardless of the distance. I would go for the villa, we did it in 2003 and it was wonderful. We have done hotels previous to that they are ok too, all the cleaning is done for you and you are in the middle of it. With villas you are a captive audience for super markets etc and all the essentials you will need seem highly priced. I hope you have a good time whatever you decide. x
Reply:Villa without question.........we have been to the area many times and always had a villa but we have heard many horror stories of folk staying in hotels. A villa gives freedom and you have your own pool....if you can afford it have the pool heated it makes all the difference. We are going in April (best time to go) perhaps we will see you there.
