I just wrote my self a job resume it it any goood??
You need a space between jobs, I got to the word electrical and thought you were doing electrical at MCD and the other jobs you put the name of the company not the name of the trade so I would add the company name.
Also your experience is from oldest to newest which is opposite reverse the order.
One more picky detail is the MCD changing garbage left me thinking changed for what? You might change that to emptying garbage or changing garbage bags or leave it out, not a valuable job skill but does show willingness to work that is good.
Since I am being so fussy about your great resume I would probably change the entire objective statement to:
To gain work experience as a prep cook or line cook. I am starting culinary school and wish to work at every level in the industry.
I would omit the part about working since you were 7since you seem young and have worked 7 years that is plenty. I would omit the part about not serving bad food, they expect that and you being a picky eater is too personal.
Were you really in high school 8 years? Working at MCD 7 years before you finished high school?
Use Word to write your resume and use bolding, font sizes and spacing to or bullet points to highlight the important things.
Don't think I don't think your resume is good it is just I am much older and have seen thousands of resumes. Most just get a once over lightly so excess words or hard to find detail make them forgettable. Errors in spelling or word usage get them tossed if some does care enough to proofread they aren't careful enough work on most jobs. Some jobs are that fussy like hiring a truck driver you won't care about them being able to type or spell.
Reply:It's a good start. Take out the objective and turn it into a summary paragraph. Put the objective in your cover letter. I have a "resume help" section and an example of a good resume on my website below.
Make your resume targeted at a specific job or type of job then write it as you are trying to match your skills with that job's skill set. Consider the reader saying to you "What does that mean to me? How can that experience help you in this job?" etc.
Good luck!
Reply:Good job! I would hire you.
Reply:Make sure that the formatting is correct, that you have spelling correct and concise wording that shows intelligence ( Yours does show intelligence). What are your goals that you are trying to achieve. What are your ST and LT goals. Think long and hard about it.
Reply:great job and good luck on your seach
